Cookie Policy
What we store in your browser — and what we don't.

Local storage (always used)
JSONFormatTool.org uses your browser’s localStorage for two non-tracking purposes: remembering your theme preference (light or dark), and, where a consent choice is shown, remembering whether you accepted or declined. These values stay on your device, are not sent to any server, and do not identify you. You can clear them at any time through your browser settings. This local storage is not a cookie and is essential to how the site remembers your choices.
Advertising cookies (only after consent)
When advertising is enabled, the site loads Google AdSense, which may set cookies and use device identifiers to serve and measure ads. These are loaded only after you accept via the consent banner where consent is required — decline, and the AdSense script is never loaded. These cookies are set by Google under its own policies, not by us.
Analytics cookies (only after consent, if enabled)
If anonymous usage analytics are enabled on this site, the analytics provider may set cookies to measure aggregate usage. As with advertising, these load only after you consent where consent is required, and never carry the content you work with.
Managing your choice
You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s storage in your browser, which resets the consent banner. Legal requirements around cookies and consent vary by jurisdiction; this banner is a mechanism to record your choice and is not legal advice. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled overall.
